Begonia ‘Richardsiana’ (Begonia caudiciform hybrid)
An excellent choice for the gardener with limited space and time. This species is perfectly designed for the restriction and dryness found in bonsai culture. A thickened base forms naturally, creating an instant bonsai effect, while its ease of culture is second to none. Originating in South Africa, begonia ‘Richardsiana's’ tolerance to dryness of both soil and air is legendary. With little effort an enduring specimen is formed that can be maintained in a small pot for a long time. If a larger specimen is desired repotting is all that's needed. Shipped in a 3" bonsai pot (pots vary in color and shape). Grow in full sun or partial sun.
Full or partial sun, grows to 12" in container, minimum temperature indoors 60°, blooms in spring, summer and fall.
Good for a bonsai!
