Brachycaulos ‘Spiral’ on Stand (Tillandsia hybrid) |
Brachycaulos ‘Spiral’ on Stand (Tillandsia hybrid)
Tillandsias are easy-care plants to grow in the home environment. As members of the bromeliad family, they don’t root in soil but in the wild they attach themselves to trees and live off rainfall. Brachycaulos ‘Spiral’ grows about 4” tall and the leaves turn an attractive red color during its bloom cycle. In the summer purple flowers emerge from the center. The brachycaulos remains red for several months before turning back to green. Grow in bright indirect light and soak in water twice a week. During the active growing cycle, fertilize once a month with a dilute solution (1/4 teaspoon per gallon) of all-purpose liquid fertilizer. Comes with a 6” hardwood stand to create an attractive display.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Partial sun, grows to 4" in container, minimum temperature indoors 40°, Summer bloomer.
Easy Grower!
