Chinese Elm Bonsai (Ulmus parvifolia)
Native to northern China, the “Chinese Elm Bonsai” is an excellent specimen for bonsai growing. Easy-to-grow and care for, it’s a deciduous tree whose small, dark green leaves have serrated edges. The trunk is slightly twisted into a bonsai shape. If grown outdoors, the leaves will turn colorful at the onset of fall. As a deciduous tree, its leaves become sparse or drop totally during the winter if grown in cool temperatures. Continue watering during the winter dormancy and new leaves will sprout in early spring. Shipped in a 5” plastic bonsai pot. Our “Chinese Elm Bonsai” are 6 years old.
Hardy to Zone 6 and higher for outdoors.
Full to partial sun, grows to 12" in container, minimum temperature indoors 35°.
