Chinese Yew Bonsai (Podocarpus hybrid)
Slow-growing and attractive in form, the Chinese Yew, or Podocarpus, bonsai is an evergreen tree with pine-needle-like leaves held upright on lateral branches. This excellent bonsai specimen has a curved trunk and stiff symmetrical branches. There are separate male and female flowers on the plant and the tree develops fleshy, brightly-colored yew-like fruits in the fall. Grow in full to partial sun in slightly moist soil. Shipped in a 6” plastic bonsai pot. Plants are 10-12 years old.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Full to partial sun, grows to 12" in container, minimum temperature indoors 60°, Summer bloomer.
