Dwarf Cone Ginger (Costus woodsonii) This ginger is perfect for containers
reaching at 2' in height and blooming effortlessly year-round. The upright canes form in tightly held clumps and as they mature 2" red cone-like flower heads emerge from the growing tips. Orange tipped flowers poke out from the sides of the flower heads successively over a period of many weeks. A plant that does well under varying light conditions, it can be planted in the summer garden and then lifted for exotic flowers and foliage throughout the winter.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Full sun, partial sun or shade, grows to 20-30" in container, minimum temperature 50°, everbloomer.
