Elephant Ear (Alocasia hybrid)
Impressive in a large pot, or as a focal point in the garden, Elephant Ear ‘Portora’ has broad, wavy-edged leaves that are held high on strong vertical stems. It grows quickly into a 5-6’ tall plant during the first season. The stems are upright so it makes an ideal “thriller” in a mixed container with flowering plants growing around its base. Plant in rich, moist soil for optimum growth.
Hardy to Zone 7b for outdoors.
Full to partial sun, grows to 5-6' in container.
