Everbearing Strawberry ‘Mara des Bois’ p.p. (Fragaria hybrid)
This highly desirable gourmet strawberry was developed by a French hybridizer whose dream was to produce an everbearing strawberry with the most delicious flavor and fragrance. Our trial gardens last year were a testimonial to his success. ‘Mara des Bois’ berries have the taste of wild strawberries but are larger in size. These plants are prolific in their fruiting habit producing berries from summer through fall. They also send out many young “runner” plants that will bear fruit the following season. If you’re looking for an aromatic, sweet berry to grow in your home garden, we highly recommend ‘Mara des Bois.’ Sold as a set of either 6 or 12 plants, each in a 2.5” pot. The Set of 12 Plants includes a Strawberry Bag for planting.
Hardy to Zone 5 and higher for outdoors.
Full sun, grows to 6-8" in container, Spring and Summer bloomer.
