Holiday Peacock Plant (Calathea x “Holiday”)
The “Holiday Peacock Plant” is a stunning new hybrid with raspberry-red flowers that bloom continuously once the plant reaches 18” tall. These blossoms are more beautiful than any other Calathea on the market today. The eye-catching foliage has a white-feathered pattern on the mid-veins and the outside edges of the leaves. The backside of the leaves are purple. Grow in the shade outside your house or close to a window inside, where it can get some indirect sunlight throughout the day. Keep the soil moist and do not allow it to dry out between waterings. This may lead to leaf edge burn. This Calathea likes to be grown in warm temperatures above 65°.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Partial sun, grows 8-12" in container, minimum temperature indoors 65°, Everbloomer.

A truly amazing specimen! |
| I received my Peacock Holiday last week and was very impressed. This is a spectular looking plant with the combination of white, green and purple leaves. My specimen seems robust with one flower spike fully engaged and several new shoots coming from the base. While always impressed by Logees products, this one just prompted me to post how pleased I am. This would be a great purchase for anyone who enjoys uniqueness or is looking for a very beautiful holiday gift for someone special. Thanks Logees, keep up the great work! |
