Jamaican Poinsettia (Euphorbia punicea)
Grown for its showy red flower bracts, Euphorbia punicea is often called "Jamaican poinsettia." Flowering in fall, winter, spring and early summer, it puts on a brilliant display with flower bracts ranging from crimson to scarlet to pinkish-orange. Small yellow flowers emerge from the center of each flower bract. Heat and drought tolerant, this evergreen shrub creates a nice specimen plant for full-to-partially sunny locations.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Full or partial sun, grow 2-3' in a container, minimum temperatures indoors 60°, blooms in spring and winter.
