You can request
a “Hold Order” for Hardy Perennials and we will ship them
when it’s planting time in your zone. Otherwise, Hardy
Perennials can be kept in a cool or cold spot like an unheated
garage, cool cellar or outbuilding. Cover the pot and soil
with insulating material (burlap, clean rags, newspaper) and
check the soil every 2-3 weeks to make sure it doesn’t dry
out completely. In the spring, plant as soon as the ground
is open and no longer frozen. Dormant plants can endure
freezing temperatures in the spring as long as the plant
remains dormant without any green buds.
Mistletoe Fig (Ficus deltoidea )
Low light conditions? Don’t worry about it. Here is a plant that seems to thrive at the hand of least attention. This Ficus has waxy leaves and produces small nodules of fruit. The habit is upright and somewhat spreading, like a tree. Its loyalty is unsurpassed, as it will grow where others fear to root. The growth is slow, but assured. An exceptional companion, it also makes a good bonsai.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Full sun, partial sun or shade, grows to 1-3’ in
container, minimum temperature 60°.
