African Gardenia (Mitriostigma axillare)
A fragrant everbloomer that’s easy to get along with. Gardenias are known for their temperamental loveliness, but this hard-to -find Gardenia cousin is filled with sweetness. Its enduring nature and adaptability to indoor conditions make it the perfect specimen for houseplant gardeners. The flowers are quite simple, five white petals surround a yellow center. They are always present in dense clusters somewhere on the plant.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Full or partial sun, grows to 10-20" in container,
minimum temperature indoors 55°, everbloomer.

| Bought this in a 2.5 inch size in summer.It is december and it is about 9 inches in size,problem free,flowering profusely,pleasant datura kind fragrace,if you are looking for jasmine like blown away fragrance,it will dissappoint.But flowering in December in Virginia in a sunny window, cant ask for more! |
