Night Heron Fairybells (Disporum cantoniense ‘Night Heron’)
Tough as nails and extremely adaptable in the landscape, Disporum ‘Night Heron’ is stately and provides an upright, tiered architectural element to the garden. In the spring, dark purple, bamboo-like stems emerge from the soil reaching heights of 4-5’ tall. Terminal clusters of creamy bell-shaped flowers appear in early summer followed by many shiny black berries. Plant this easy-grower in rich moist soil in a partially sunny location such as a northern or eastern exposure around the home.
Hardy to Zone 5-9 for outdoors.
