Paper Plant (Cyperus papyrus)
Bring an exotic look to the summer
garden or potted container with this famous Egyptian water plant. Although perfectly happy growing with its feet in water, it will thrive like any other plant when supplied average moisture. An unbelievably fast grower, small plants in spring will reach 5' or more in a single season and create large full specimens. One requirement for optimum growth is a full sun exposure, which keeps the tall stems stiff and rigid.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Full sun, grows to 4-5' in container, minimum temperature indoors 50°, blooms in summer.
