You can request
a “Hold Order” for Hardy Perennials and we will ship them
when it’s planting time in your zone. Otherwise, Hardy
Perennials can be kept in a cool or cold spot like an unheated
garage, cool cellar or outbuilding. Cover the pot and soil
with insulating material (burlap, clean rags, newspaper) and
check the soil every 2-3 weeks to make sure it doesn’t dry
out completely. In the spring, plant as soon as the ground
is open and no longer frozen. Dormant plants can endure
freezing temperatures in the spring as long as the plant
remains dormant without any green buds.
Golden Club Moss (Selaginella kraussiana 'Aurea')
One of the most vigorous-growing "Tropical Club Mosses", this golden form adds a touch of brilliance to potted containers or terrarium design. The creeping stems create a dense mat, quickly covering the soil's surface. Grow as a miniature in a small pot or hanging basket. Remember to keep it evenly moist, and this moss will do well in low light.
Hardy to Zone 8 and higher for outdoors.
Partial sun to shade, grows to 1-2" in container, trailing in habit, minimum temperature 40° for indoors.
