Terrestrial Orchid ‘Rabin’s Raven’ AM/AOS (Phaius tankervilleae)
Phaius are easy-to-grow, terrestrial orchids and this Award of Merit winner from the American Orchid Society is one of the best clones to date. The upright flowers have dark chocolate petals and sepals highlighted with a hint of burgundy and dark rose-colored lips. Mature plants may have 6-8 flower spikes with 15-18 blossoms per spike. ‘Rabin’s Raven’ grows quickly sending out many stems from the base of the plant so it forms a nice bushy clump. Blooming season is January through May. We ship blooming size plants that flower in Spring Blooming size plants not necessarily shipped in spike.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Partial sun, grows to 2-3' in container, minimum temperature indoors 60°, blooms intermittent bloomer.
