When to Plant Hardy Perennials |
| You can request
a “Hold Order” for Hardy Perennials and we will ship them
when it’s planting time in your zone. Otherwise, Hardy
Perennials can be kept in a cool or cold spot like an unheated
garage, cool cellar or outbuilding. Cover the pot and soil
with insulating material (burlap, clean rags, newspaper) and
check the soil every 2-3 weeks to make sure it doesn’t dry
out completely. In the spring, plant as soon as the ground
is open and no longer frozen. Dormant plants can endure
freezing temperatures in the spring as long as the plant
remains dormant without any green buds. |

The American Wonder Lemon 'Ponderosa' (Citrus limon) |
The American Wonder Lemon ‘Ponderosa’ (Citrus limon)
White, fragrant flowers appear throughout the year with a particularly heavy surge in spring, and then the fruit appears. These are not your run-of-the-mill grocery store lemons. We’ve enjoyed fruit weighing up to 5 lbs. from one of Logee’s oldest trees. These lemons are capable of reaching enormous proportions, even though the plant remains an easily manageable size.
Hardy to Zone 10 and higher for outdoors.
Full sun, grows to 1-3’ in container, minimum
temperature 50°, blooms intermittently.

wow, just WOW! |
| We received this as a gift from my mom a little over 2 years ago. We followed the directions, leaving in the 4 inch pot for a bit before transplanting it into a larger one. It almost instantly flowered with dozens of fragrant blooms. The little plant was loaded. It ultimately bore one fruit - several set, but most dropped off in various stages of growth. Then the second year, it blossomed again, this time, two fruits remained - they are gigantic! We have had to prop them up to keep the plant from tipping. Each is about 4-5 inches in diameter. Cant wait to try them - they have turned yellow, but we are waiting a bit longer before harvesting. A real wonder tree. I might add that we live in north central Ohio, so we bring it in from the deck during the cold months. |

Beautiful Healthy Plant |
| I received two of these plants for my birthday in September. They were both very healthy and even larger than I expected! They have been indoors since I got them and sitting on my southern bay window ledge. One already had blossoms on it. I havent even had it for 5 months! Thanks for the great plants Logees! |
