Bllra Orchid Marfitch ‘Howard’s Dream’ AM/AOS (Brassia x Cochlioda x Miltonia x Odontoglossum hybrid)
This Award of Merit Winner from the American Orchid Society has stunning, lightly fragrant flowers. The large 5” blooms are dark grape-purple with white spotting throughout the petals and lip and yellow highlights in the throat. The frilly lip has a waterfall pattern. Tall flower spikes have 6-12 blossoms that mature at different times so the flowering season is extended. Flowers last about 3-4 weeks. ‘Howard’s Dream’ is a late fall bloomer. It grows best in bright light, and even direct morning sun, but it should be shaded from hot afternoon sun. Beallara orchids are intergeneric hybrids that combine four orchid genera. ‘Howard’s Dream’ is a sensational orchid to add to your collection. This is a blooming size plant not necessarily in spike.
