Bottle Palm (Hyophorbe lagenicaulis)

This dwarf palm tree, known as the Bottle Palm, has a wonderful bulbous gray trunk and green upper stem. Palm leaves add a tropical feel to any growing space. When placed on either side of a door entry or walkway, Bottle Palms add grace and majesty. Native to Round Island, Mauritius near Madagascar, this palm likes warm temperatures and full to partial sun locations. This slow grower makes a wonderful indoor container plant for those in northern zones. Move it outside in the warm summer months.
