Camellia ‘Kramer’s Supreme’ (Camellia japonica hybrid)
This 1957 hybrid not only offers an immense peony shaped bloom but also a sweet scent that is rarely found in C. japonica culitvars. Its flowering season is long, going on for months, with the height of its bloom arriving in the depth of winter. Every year we welcome the arrival of it’s deep rose colored flowers that touch the senses whenever we pass it by.

Hardiness Zone 8, 9, 10
Bloom Season Spring, Winter
Sun Requirement Full Sun, Partial Sun
Grows to 4-6'
Minimum Temperature Indoors 40
Plant Type Fragrant

Tips for Success:

• Use fertilizer only at the beginning of active growth.

• Water when soil surface appears dry and then
  thoroughly saturate the root ball.

• Give partial sun year-round.

• Give 30-40°F nighttime temperatures during the winter.
Warm nights during the winter time will cause “bud blast.”
  Up to 59°F is okay.

• Give a slightly acidic soil between (soil ph between 4.8 - 5.8)

• Pinch back young cuttings to get full and bushy growth,
although this discourages flowering early on.

• 1 tablespoon of Epsom Salts/ one gallon of water given twice a
  year supplies their magnesium requirements.

  1. Great Condition Review by Sandy
How do you rate this product?

It's so shiny and green and healthy! I'm so happy with how beautiful and healthy it is. It's the best of the order if I'm to be honest. It has some buds, which I hope will bloom. Here's hoping! (Posted on 11/9/2016)
