Cobweb Spiderwort (Tradescantia sillamontana)
Cobweb Spiderwort is known for its beauty, resilience and easy of care. The foliage is covered in fine cobweb-like hairs giving the leaves a grayish sheen. Hot pink flowers bloom in summer to command your attention. A native of Mexico, this dryland species makes a great plant for neglectful watering. It’s often used as a ground cover in frost free areas but does just as well in a pot on a windowsill or patio or even as a filler for summer containers. For best cobwebbing and color, grow on the dry side with good light, even some direct sun.
