Dwarf Geraniums

Tips for Dwarf Geraniums:

Miniature geraniums are the perfect plant for sunny windowsills. They can be maintained under 8," flower freely throughout the year and tolerate periods of dryness. There culture is not unlike the traditional zonal geraniums. With a few cultural adjustment they will brighten windows for years.

• Lots of sun which is typical for most geraniums.

• Grow in terra cotta pots and don't over pot them. They can be maintained in 4" pots indefinitely.

• Be sure the soil is visually dry before watering. Always thoroughly saturate the soil when watering. Avoid watering during periods of cool damp weather.

• Fertilize at moderate-to-low levels.  Excessive fertilizer creates soft lush growth which stretches the stems and petals and increases susceptibility to diseases.

• Grow warm above 65º F.
