'Low Rider' is a compact plant with wavy-edged leaves that look similar to Alocasia 'Portora' only with a dwarf growth habit. It's an upright grower usually reaching 1-2' tall so it makes an ideal plant as the focal point in a compact mixed container. It's also attractive as a stand-alone potted plant that tolerates a variety of light conditions and adds a tropical feel wherever it's grown.

This plant has large, dramatic, shiny leaves. Soon after it settled into its new home, I had the fun of watching a new leaf unfurl itself out of the stem of the newest of the existing leaves. Now I'm eagerly awaiting the day when the next one emerges. (Posted on 1/16/2016)
