Light:
|
Full sun or partial sun (an east, west or south
exposure).
|

Temperature:
|
Maintain temperatures above 60 degrees.

Humidity:
|
Preferably 50% or
higher; however, they will tolerate low
levels with no harm.

Watering:
|
Bring the soil to
a state of visual dryness between watering. When watering, thoroughly
saturate the soil until a little water trickles from the bottom of the
pot.

Fertilizer:
|
Moderate to
low levels of fertilizer during active growth. They are sensitive to
high salt levels. They have susceptibility to iron chlorosis. Pot in
an acidic potting mix: half peat moss and half perlite.

Pruning:
|
Prune as needed to maintain shape and
form.

Insects and
Disease:
|
Some susceptibility to mealy bug.
Root diseases cam be a problem under cool temperatures and high
fertilizer levels. Growing in a clay pot can help with root diseases.

Comments:

Cinnamon is easy to grow providing it receives
adequate light and is grown warm.
Go easy on the fertilizer, grow in a clay container and pot
in an acid potting mix (half peat moss and half perlite).
