sun, preferably a southern window or an east or west window.

Maintain temperatures above 60°.

They
are not affected by low humidity.

only when the soil is dry.
They do not want constant soil moisture as they are dry land
plants.

Fertilizer:

Monthly
at 1/4 strength. Be careful not to over-feed. Excessive
fertilization will kill this plant. Do not fertilize during
the winter.

Pruning:

Repotting
is only necessary if a larger plant is desired. They
can remain in tight pots for years. The climbing vine can be
pruned if growth is excessive.

Disease:

They are susceptible to mealy bug.

Comments:

Fockeas are easy and enduring plants to
grow. Go easy on the feed
and be sure to dry them down between waterings. As they are climbers,
pruning is needed to keep them contained, and they take it with ease.
The inconspicuous flowers have a fragrance.
