Tips for Fertilizing Potted Plants

• Apply fertilizer more often but use less. 

• Smaller amounts given more frequently are better than larger doses given over longer intervals.

• Don’t overdo it. Excessive fertilizer will either damage the plant or promote soft growth, leading to disease and insect  infestation. Keep your plant green and growing but a “harder” grown plant is a tougher plant.

• If the plant is not actively growing (ie: winter or seasonal rest), then stop feeding.
