Averrhoa carambola ‘Sri Kembangan’ “Star Fruit”
Our newest addition to our potted fruit collection is “Star Fruit.” Often grown in tropical areas and known for its prolific sweet juicy fruit, this upright tree also makes an excellent potted specimen. Fruiting starts when the plants reach 4-5’ in height. Flowering will occur several times a year. In the north, move your plant outside in the summertime for insect pollination since it is the summer blooms that produce an abundance of fruit. This delicious ripened-on-the-tree fruit tastes much better than store bought fruit. Our grafted plants are guaranteed true-to-variety and will fruit sooner.

Hardy to Zone 9 and higher for outdoors.

Full sun, grows 4-6' in container, minimum temperature indoors 55°, blooms intermittently.
