Sweet and seductive are only a few words that describe this fragrant South Pacific native. Terminal clusters of white flowers that age to orange are laden with a heavy yet pleasing perfumed scent. Fagraeas are often used in leis in Hawaii; the fragrance will hold even after the blooms have dried. Give this slow grower plenty of warmth and direct sunlight and it will be a steady grower and reliable bloomer. Grow in a porous potting mix for its semi-epiphytic nature. In the north, blooms from spring to fall. In the south it is a year-round bloomer. Our plants are cutting grown which lend to early blooms.
