Large, 4-5” sunny yellow flowers have a dark red eye in the center of each bloom making this tropical plant an attractive addition to any garden. Flowers last for only one day but it blooms freely during the warm summer months. Deeply lobed leaves add to the unusual beauty of this plant. Colorful seedpods form after the flowers have passed. In the Far East, people eat the leaves and some consider this plant to have medicinal value.
