Tubular Flowered Gardenia (Gardenia nitida)

A rare gardenia which emits the most unusual sweet scent during the day and a more intense fragrance at night, filling the air with its intoxicating scent. Flowers arrive throughout the year, often in profusion. Even after the flowers have dried, a hint of sweetness remains. The long tubular flower stems and flowing white petals emerge from a well-formed, densely branched plant. The dark, shiny green foliage has a pleated texture.
