Winterberry ‘Berry Poppins’ p.p.a.f. Set (Ilex verticillata)
This dwarf Winterberry ‘Berry Poppins’ brings color and an abundance of red fruit to the winter garden that provides food for the birds during the cold season. It’s perfect for the small space gardener and for those tight spaces where nothing else seems to grow. Winterberry is a native species to New England and prefers wet areas but will grow in most soil types as well. Besides the benefit of winter color, ‘Berry Poppins’ flowers in early summer and makes a great pollinator plant. This is being sold as a set of ‘Berry Poppins’ and ‘Mr. Poppins’ for cross pollination. One plant of ‘Mr Poppins’ will pollinate up to ten plants of ‘Berry Poppins.’
