Bearded Dianthus (Dianthus hybrid)
These exotic, frilly flowers add a bit of whimsy to your container garden. Bearded Dianthus are planted four to a pot and they flower in a range of colors from white, to pink, to violet and red. They bloom in late spring and early summer and flowering often continues for a month or more. It can be planted outside once flowering has stopped, or you can maintain Bearded Dianthus as a container plant and it will rebloom the following year. Avoid high temperatures since dianthus prefer cooler climates.
