Begonia ‘Encanto Red’ (Begonia boliviensis hybrid)

We grew ‘Encanto Red,’ a boliviensis hybrid, in a moss-hanging basket and put it on a northern exposure porch where it grew happily all season. The flowers are an intense red and drape majestically over the pot’s edge. It’s a continual bloomer with no deadheading required. When the plants reach full size, their beauty and flower power is unrivaled. Feed regularly with a balanced fertilizer and let the soil dry to the touch between waterings.
