Bllra Orchid Tropic Tom ‘Purple Paisley’ (Brassia x Cochlioda x Miltonia x Odontoglossum hybrid)
‘Purple Paisley’ is
a new intergeneric orchid
hybrid with large, starshaped
3-5” flowers. These
orchids are light purple
with dark maroon spotting
throughout the petals and
lip and yellow highlights in
the throat. The frilly lip has
a waterfall pattern. ‘Purple
Paisley’s’ flower spike has
5+ blossoms that mature
at different times so the
flowering season is extended.
Flowers last about 3-4
weeks. ‘Purple Paisley’ is a
spring and fall bloomer. It
grows best in bright light,
and even direct morning
sun, but it should be shaded
from hot afternoon sun.
Beallara orchids are intergeneric
hybrids that combine four orchid genera. This is a blooming size plant not
necessarily in spike.
