Camellia ‘Kramer’s Supreme’ (Camellia japonica hybrid)

This 1957 hybrid not only offers an immense peony shaped bloom but also a sweet scent that is rarely found in C. japonica culitvars. Its flowering season is long, going on for months, with the height of its bloom arriving in the depth of winter. Every year we welcome the arrival of it’s deep rose colored flowers that touch the senses whenever we pass it by.

• Give 30-40°F nighttime temperatures during the winter.
Warm nights during the winter time will cause “bud blast.”
  Up to 59°F is okay.

• Give a slightly acidic soil between (soil ph between 4.8 - 5.8)

• Pinch back young cuttings to get full and bushy growth,
