Fall blooming with a delightful nighttime fragrance, Cestrum ‘Moonglow’ fills a void in late fall when flowers and fragrance are scarce for indoor container gardeners. Thought to be a cross between Cestrum nocturnum and Cestrum diurnum, ‘Moonglow’ carries the night fragrance of the former and the fall flowering of the latter. Fall flowering is stimulated by the shortening daylength of summer, so the last pruning needs to be done before bud initiation. The golden yellow flowers appear along the upright stems in clusters with the flowering cycle going on for a month or more during November and December.
