- Citrus ‘Tango’ Mandarin (Citrus reticulata)
‘Tango’ is a delicious new mandarin with superior fruit quality and flavor. It’s totally seedless with easy-to-peel fruit that averages about 2.5” in diameter. The sweet, juicy fruit starts maturing in January and will hold onto the tree until April or May. It is a prolific fruiter that has a tendency to overbear so it’s important to thin the fruit, especially when the tree is young to maintain tree health and fruit size. Mandarins can be grown in containers for northern gardeners. We recommend putting your plant outside during the warm summer months for optimal growth and productivity. This is a grafted plant that blooms and fruits sooner.

Highly Recommend: Beautiful Productive Citrus Review by Cheryl Rose
How do you rate this product? Last summer, my small Tango Mandarin arrived, well packaged, healthy. By January, it had actually bloomed and produced 13 little green fruits! I removed them due to worry about stressing out such a young plant. It did this during a cold NH winter [very dry conditions from woodstove heating]. Outdoors this summer, the repotted Tango continues to be a vigourous young tree covered new growth and blossoms. Thank you! (Posted on 8/8/2018)
