Curcuma Siam™ Splash (Curcuma alismatifolia hybrid)
The Curcuma Siam™ hybrids are bred for their large, colorful flowers and shorter, 2’ tall growth habit that makes them ideal for a summer flowering container. One of the most attractive summer-blooming plants, Siam™ Splash has tulip-shaped blooms in deep pink with dark purple highlights on the petal tips. Belonging to the ginger family, it has broad green leaves and the flower stems rise above the foliage and have colorful bracts that hold on the plant for several weeks. When the foliage dies back in fall, let the rhizomes rest in a cool, dry location and in spring divide and repot them to enjoy another year of spectacular flowers. Special Note: Curcuma must be in a 6-8” pot to flower. When you receive Siam™ Splash transplant it into a larger pot and grow in full sun for optimal flowering.
