Fragrant Bouvardia ‘Flamingo Pink’ (Bouvardia hybrid)
Long, tubular pink flowers grow in clusters and emit a nighttime fragrance that delights the senses. ‘Flamingo Pink’ makes a great container plant that will reach 2-3’ tall when grown in full sun. It can be planted outside in southern zones. You can pick the floral sprays to use as cut flowers, and the blooms will last for days sharing their evening fragrance night after night. This is an exclusive Logee’s hybrid.

  1. Cold Hardy Review by Alice
How do you rate this product?

I need to add this to my above, already positive, review of this plant. Due to a lack of space in my home I had to leave this plant outside over the winter. I live on a sea island where we normally have mild winters but this past January we had an unprecedented ice and snow storm followed by a week of freezing temperatures and I never bothered to even check the pot this plant was in as I was sure it was dead. To my surprise it emerged this spring and it is already setting buds. I should add it also lived through Hurricane Irma and a salt water bath last fall. What a survivor! In my experience, living on the cusp of zones 8b/9a, this Bouvardia has performed like a deciduous perennial here. (Posted on 4/20/2018)

  2. Outstanding plant Review by Alice
How do you rate this product?

I have only had this Fragrant Bouvardia for a few months but it it my new favorite plant. It is constantly in bloom and the plant has an attractive shape that has required no pinching to keep it nice and full. Everyone who sees it wants to know what it is. I have found it needs daily watering, it seems a bit more tropical than the red Bouvardia ternifolia, but I live in a hot climate and my plant is in full sun. I may have to order additional plants and experiment to see how it does in less light. I really love this plant. (Posted on 6/4/2017)
