Hardy Hens and Chicks Colorockz® Coconut Crystal changes colors with the seasons. In fall and winter, Coconut Crystal is lime green with red hues in the leaves. In the heat and bright light of summer, it becomes wine red with touches of light green and cream. The fleshy leaves grow in the classic rosette-shape surrounded with young plants or chicks. It flowers late spring to summer. Grow in full to partial sun in a rock garden, patio container or even an indoor windowsill. Coconut Crystal has a strong root system when planted in well-drained soil. It’s a water-wise, drought tolerant plant.
