Hornbill's Ginger is a rare and unusual ginger from Malaysia that brings color and delight
to the late winter and early spring garden. The flowers are a wild composition
of orange and red with twisted and spiked petals embraced by long arching
cream-colored stamens. Like many gingers, it’s not difficult to grow with adequate
light and attention to watering. It makes a wonderful potted plant due to
its modest size, preference for a full to partial sunlight growing space and tolerance
to periodic dryness. Hornbill's Ginger blooms last about a week with individual flowers
from each shoot arriving over several weeks. Grows best in full to partial sun.
