Light Requirements for Container Plants
Full Sun: Plants that require direct sun outside or a south window inside. Give them as much light as possible. When growing indoors place as close to the glass as possible.
Partial Sun: Plants that require an east or west window receiving direct sunlight. Outdoors they need morning or afternoon sun for at least three hours of the day.
Shade: Plants that require no direct sunlight; however, for indoors keep them near a window so they will receive high quality diffuse light. Outdoors they can be grown on a porch, the north side of a building or in the shade of trees.
