Spires of bright pink blooms arise in the late fall garden from this Chinese perennial shrub. In our area, it dies back to the ground in winter but returns with vigor in the spring reaching 3’ in height before flowering at the very end of the season. Kind of the last hurrah along with the Montauk daisies and asters. The pollinators love the blooms where they can find nectar and pollen as they prepare for the winter ahead.
