Phalaenopsis Orchid ‘Kimono’ (Phalaenopsis hybrid)
‘Kimono’ is a new variety that’s been a hot seller because of its novel coloring. The red petals are marked with a white web overlay creating spectacular flowers. The lip is red. The spikes typically reach up to 20” and the flowers are 3-4” across. The long-lasting blooms hold on the plant for 2-3 months. These are shipped in short spike.

Tips for Success:

• Grow in an east or west window or under lights.

• Avoid growing areas with hot noon day sun.

• Bring the moss to near dryness between waterings,
then thoroughly saturate the moss (it’s better to under
water a little than over water).

• To bring into flower, subject the plant to temperatures in
the high to mid 50’s at night for a period of four weeks.
This is most easily done in the fall.

• Fertilize only lightly and then only during the active
growing season which is usually spring to fall.

• For long term growth, use a clay pot. Clay will ensure a
quicker drying time for the moss and in turn will keep
  the roots healthy.

  1. Longest lasting bud/bloom cycle I've ever encountered Review by Kat-chan
How do you rate this product?

I've owned this kimono orchid since early Feb 2017 and it came with buds already on two spikes. It has continuously budded and bloomed since Feb 2017 until this month Nov 2018 when the final bloom of many dropped. This was a fantastic purchase. I'm looking forward to what happens next after it rests and reinvirgorates. (Posted on 11/13/2018)

  2. Blooms are beautiful Review by K
How do you rate this product?

I 've had two buds bloom and just fall but still have 4 new blooms. This was an excellent purchase. I'm ready to buy more plants and try some of Logees citrus items. I wish I could upload a picture but the one on the website is quite accurate. (Posted on 6/13/2017)

  3. Leaves were surprisingly Large Review by Kat-chan
How do you rate this product?

This is the 4th and final of my initial plant order from Logee's. Expertly packed to retain moisture and prevent damage in transit. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the plant, it has huge 6-7 inch by 3 inch leaves and two 10 inch long spikes already with nubs of buds started. The clear pot shows what looks to be healthy succulent roots. I am ecstatic about my purchase and highly recommend Logee's to any sceptics on the fence. I am happy I did. And their videos and how to pdf's are very handy and informative. (Posted on 3/12/2017)
