Plumeria ‘Novelty’ (Plumeria rubra hybrid)
‘Novelty’s multicolored yellow and red flowers add beauty and fragrance to any garden. This Hawaiian plant has 3” blossoms that arrive as red buds and open to yellow petals with red petal edges and a red heart. Each flower cluster has 20 blossoms that last for weeks, and ‘Novelty’ is a prolific bloomer producing multiple flower clusters from summer through fall. The flowers have a sweet fragrance. In a container, plants tend to grow 4-6’ tall and about 12’ tall in zone 10 locations when planted in the garden. It’s a deciduous variety that goes dormant every winter and re-sprouts new leaves in the spring. Grow in full sun to maintain steady blooming throughout the summer and early fall. This is a grafted plant that blooms sooner. Our supply is limited. Please order early.
