Sacred Flower of the Incas (Cantua buxifolia)

Sacred Flower of the Incas (Cantua buxifolia)

Beautiful, 3” tubular, rose-pink flowers appear in clusters on the terminal ends of the arching branches during the late winter to spring season. Hummingbirds love these flowers for their rich source of nectar. Originating in the Andes region of South America, it is the national flower of Peru and is still used in some cultural ceremonies. It makes a stunning specimen when grown as a standard with its graceful weeping branches and flowers that have lots of eye-catching appeal.
