Kaffir Lime (Citrus hystrix)
Highly sought after, this highly useful citrus tree is most often used for its aromatic leaves, which give Southeast Asian food a lemon flavor. The popular lemon grass soup would not be the same without the "Kaffir Lime" leaves. The plant itself has a spreading to sprawling habit and its shiny leaves are curiously segmented. The rough skin, which covers the oval fruit, is used as a rind in curries. The juices are used in hair conditioners. This is a strong grower that is adaptable to varying cultural environments.
Hardy Zone 9 and higher for outdoors.
Full sun, grows to 1-3’ in container, minimum temperature indoors 50°, blooms in spring.
We are sorry, due to agricultural regulations, citrus cannot be shipped to TX, FL, AZ, CA.
