Here’s an easy-to-grow
succulent with round,
fleshy leaves from which
its common names,
Bead Plant or String
of Pearls, are derived.
Unique in its form, yet
tolerant of extremes in
dryness, the draping
basket of green beads
lights up any room
with greenery and plant
life. When it blooms,
the Bead Plant has small
white flowers that smell like cinnamon. This South African native is nearly indestructible
when grown in full to partial sun. Bead Plant takes on a fanciful look
when grown in a decorative pot as shown in the photo.
