Chains of Glory (Clerodendrum smithianum)
This winter blooming clerodendrum puts on a spectacular display with cascading white flowers that dance against its deep green foliage. Flowering racemes hang down a foot and a half or more and usually arrive in the depth of winter. A great subject for hanging baskets or grown as a standard, it often has two flowering periods during the winter season. Don’t prune after the height of summer so as to not disrupt the blooming cycle. Grow this cascading variety in full sun.

  1. It's Already Starting to Bloom! Review by Sandy

It's gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous and I can see that it's about to bloom even though I've only had it for a week now. It falls like a rainbow and it's just so beautiful! (Posted on 11/9/2016)

  2. beautiful and hardy Review by Linda

Bought this plant twice. Thought I had overwatered the first and killed it, so I bought the second plant. Low and behold, not but a week after the second one arrived, the first one started poking out two new shoots. I was just about ready to discard the root and use the pot for another plant. So now I have two, which is fine with me. They are the most beautiful plant I have ever seen and I love them. The white butterfly-shaped chains are gorgeous and last a long time. They bloom around the holidays and set a spirit of thanksgiving and giving. Just don't overwater. Wait until it is dry a couple inches down. I water about once a week but I always check this one first. I can't be happier with it. My Chains of Glory bloomed the first year I had them. That's how big the plant arrived! And I tell ya, Logee's is great in customer service and delivery. My plants always come packed securely, very green and pretty big in a 4 inch pot. Never been dissatisfied with Logee's. Great company and worth the extra money for a plant that will live. (Posted on 10/25/2016)
