Hops ‘Willamette’ (Humulus lupulus)

Hops ‘Willamette’ (Humulus lupulus)

A fast-growing and hardy perennial vine, "Hops" have light golden, cone-shaped flowers used for making beer. The beautiful vine grows up to 25’ in a single season and dies-back to the crown each fall. The vines and fragrant flowers make a sensational statement in any landscape whether you use the hops to make beer or not. Grow on a fence, wall or trellis for support. Our hop plants are strictly females since only the females produce flowers. Hop flowers begin to ripen mid-August to mid-Sept. ‘Willamette’ is an aromatic hop also used for flavoring. It’s one of the best hops for pale ales, brown ales or UK style ales. Also used in teas for insomnia.
