Golden Fuchsia (Deppea splendens)
Gorgeous, hanging clusters of rich yellow blooms, accented by rose calyxes, adorn the branches of this Mexican native. Discovered in the 1970’s in the cloud forests of Southern Mexico, it is now thought to be extinct in the wild. Although Golden Fuchsia can mature into a large shrub or small tree, it does exceptionally well in containers and can be pruned when needed. It flowers for us on and off throughout the year with a rest period in the depth of winter.
